Reduced Number of Documents Submitted to OAL

 

On January 12, 2024, amendments to Title 1, sections 6, 6.5, and 8 of the California Code of Regulations, concerning the reduction in the number of hard copies and electronic copies of the regulation text submitted by state agencies to OAL, were approved and filed with the Secretary of State. The amendments are effective January 12, 2024:

On May 12, 2023, OAL published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Action affecting title 1, sections 6 and 6.5 of the California Code of Regulations.  The proposed regulations will change the number of copies required to be submitted to OAL for review.  Hard copy submittals will no longer require 7 copies of the regulation text but will require 3 copies.   Electronic submittals will no longer require 7 copies of the regulation text but will require 1 copy.   Questions regarding this rulemaking can be directed to the contact person listed in the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking or OALProposedRulemakings@oal.ca.gov.
